My Role
This is my masters thesis project, I explored the impact of colorblindness as a visual disabilty on digital designs, not only for users but also for designers who are colorblind. Learning about the visual journey and creating a product that seamlessly integrates in the this journey.
Impact
I created a brand + product around colorblindnes with 3 main purpose: Awareness, Guidance and Community. This came through intesive research interviews and workshops with colorblind users and designers. The end product was a sketch styled product with subtle awarenes cues that is helping dsesigners to pick colors and review there designs easily.
This tool helps designers create inclusive color palettes for both colorblind and non-colorblind users.
Powered by AI trained on accessibility guidelines and real examples, it generates palettes that improve readability and visual appeal—addressing the widespread issue of poor color use in design.
The interface shows the concept on the left and live examples on the right, with options to generate palettes using keywords and download them in various formats.

From interviews and workshops, I found that designers are short on time but value quick feedback. Both colorblind and non-colorblind designers want to check if their work is inclusive, yet most tools only focus on contrast. This tool evaluates designs across contrast, harmony, context, and color psychology, giving a clear score and a short, actionable tip.
Powered by AI trained on accessibility standards and real examples, it also extracts color palettes from images—and flags or blocks saving if they aren’t accessible.

Logo
I created a hand-drawn logo inspired by the asterisk symbol, using it as a distinctive and memorable mark that also supports a unique communication style.
Iconography
I designed a set of handmade icons to add a personal, human touch while maintaining clarity and legibility.
Buttons & Pointers
I created three main button types with six variants in total. These hand-drawn elements embrace slight imperfections, are supported by icons, and enable micro-interactions and animations to make the experience more engaging.

These illustrations were created to support visual communication and ease the reading experience, especially when dealing with complex or intense topics. By introducing playful and engaging visual cues, the illustrations help guide the reader through challenging content in a more approachable and enjoyable way. Initially drawn in Procreate and later refined in Illustrator, each piece balances simplicity with clarity to enhance both understanding and engagement.

I Also designed a comprehensive and in depth documentation my research and production process in form of a book that is colloquially legible yet a great tool for knowledge sharing!
