A design project for OB3, an academic study platform, exploring the development of a companion productivity tool. Lite Breeze was created to address common CRM challenges and improve efficiency in everyday workflows, in collaboration with CEO Rodney Tamblyn.
My Role
In a team of talented designers, I co-lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process — from conducting user research and heuristic analysis to defining user flows and crafting high-fidelity MVP prototypes. My work bridges UX and UI design, ensuring intuitive, aesthetically refined, and user-centered digital experiences.
Impact
Enhance Lead Generation: Integrate a suitable CRM with features to facilitate quick and efficient lead generation for academic professionals. Streamline Contact & Calender Management: Provide tools for effective management of academic and institutional contacts and calenders. Foster Collaboration: Strengthen collaborative efforts by linking CRM capabilities with ob3’s existing educational tools.
The project duration was split into : Task, SWOT, Comparative analysis | Hypothesis testing | Target group primary research | Synthesis of Interview | Finalising opportunity areas | Persona Development | Developing HMW questions | Paper prototyping | High Fidelity wireframes | Final prototyping and user testing
As seen here Daylite CRM is click intensive and a lot of Data is to be entered manually.
Taking notes about future clients is manual and not multimedia interactive
Building knowledge and Wiki about future clients is non existent.
All these pain points can be resolved using web
Data parsing, automation & plugging in Litebreeze to Daylite
This was one of the most interesting and important part of our analysis. Asking the right questions gives real insight, we prepared a script but there was a lot of imorovisation. I have to say that this part of the process shaped our product the most.
I used figma as the tool to convert the sketches of the screen to create a working prototype of the MVP.
For MVP, Due to limited development pipeline, client gave following feedback:
Minimize the product flow to just core customer knowledge documentation features, and linking it to different tasks, relations and schedules inside daylite.
Focus on features related to Browser integration, where potential clients data can be parsed from web, and all their contact informations are auto generated.
It was also suggested to make a native Mac plugin, with HMI native to Mac instead of a web product platform.
